Following institutional seed-funding support (see below), our current goal is to raise approximately £25,000 in total, £5,000 for the work of each of our five Khalili partners. This will allow to engage each partner on a part-time basis for 275 hours, equivalent to two months (nine weeks with six 5h-work days), at our usual hourly rate, corresponding to that of a pre-PhD university research assistant (Grade 5/29: £18.12).

Our team estimates that this will be the minimal time required to create draft didactic materials to cover one year of structured engagement with Khalili Arabic for a regular learner. Once developed, the materials will undergo testing, evaluation, and revision before eventual publication in an open-access academic series.
